We will start the day at the Batu Caves. The Batu Caves is home of the famed Thaipusam Festival, and the most sacred site of the Tamils is Malaysia. These ancient limestone caves, adorned with the golden statue of Lord Murugan, offer a spiritual and historical enclave. Conquer the 272 rainbow steps to enter into this magical cave filled with shrines and temples. After visiting the cave, refresh yourself with some fresh coconut, and an Indian-Malaysian staple, a roti canai. Our journey then leads us to the iconic Petronas Towers, a symbol of Kuala Lumpur's modern architectural development. Petronas Twin Towers used to be the largest towers in the world, and it is still the largest twin tower on Earth. As you cross the river, marvel KL’s oldest brick mosque, the Masjid Jamek which stands at the meeting point of the Klang and Gombak rivers, where Kuala Lumpur got its name, meaning 'muddy confluence.' This area is where early Chinese miners settled, making it the birthplace of the city. It's called the 'River of Life,' and at night, there's a beautiful lights and smoke show above the river, adding to the area's charm and history. Arriving at Independence Square, where the Sultan Abdul Samad Building occupies the square. The building used to be Malaysia’s national symbol until the Petronas Towers emerged, this architectural marvel holds its place as one of Malaysia's most treasured and frequently captured landmarks.
